About Us
Buff Kings Auto Detail Shop is locally owned and operated in New Ulm MN by Carolina and Jason Engel.
Cody Thompson founded, owned and ran Buff Kings Auto Detail Shop for 10 years prior to our purchase in September of 2022. Cody is still a great resource for us to continue building Buff Kings to exceed customer expectations by providing the best experience possible.
We pride ourselves on using safe and effective organic and natural cleaners in the interior of your vehicles, so you can rest assured your family is breathing safe, clean air when we are done. That includes not using any Armor All products that leave the dash real shiny, we choose to properly clean your dash without covering it with shine. Most of our cleaning line has been around for 60+ years and was green before green was popular.
As we have multiple children and dogs and live on a gravel road we understand how fast a vehicle can be in need of a good cleaning, and how busy life's schedule can get. We are here to help take this task off your list of things to do.
Carolina started her cleaning experience as a kid working with her mother's cleaning company for quite a few years. After that she worked as a manager for another cleaning company. Most recently over the last year she has been working with the Buff Kings Founder and previous owner Cody Thompson learning the tricks of the trade for cleaning vehicles, boats, trailers, and motorcycles. After spending time working at Buff Kings for Cody the opportunity arose to purchase the detail business. Carolina has a passion for providing a quality service and takes pride in her work to see the happy smiles of customers seeing the new life a clean car has to offer.
Jason started his passion for cars truck and motorcycles as a kid, going to car shows with his parents and brothers. He started digging into cars and trucks installing stereo systems, car alarms and remote starters as a teenager, and keeping his truck clean and sparkling. In his professional career he has dug into a multitude of makes and models of vehicles installing two-way radios, remote starters, cell phone car kits and squad car installs. He currently spends his days as a Telecommunications and Network Technician, and helps out at Buff Kings with equipment maintenance and technical support when available. He takes great joy in having happy customers with any work put in front of him.
